Biography of the Founder
Herman Weissker served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. After his discharge, he returned to his position as a foreman with Signal Pipeline. This company eventually became Macco Construction Company in Paramount.
Herman Weissker was in business from 1946 to 1959 with Joe Ossola in Utility Construction Company. When Joe passed away in 1959, Herman founded Herman Weissker, Inc. in May of 1959. The company concentrated on the underground utility business and gained clients from the Utility Industry such as Southern California Edison Company, General Telephone Company, AT&T, Pacific*Bell, MCI, Sprint and many others. The company also performed major gas pipeline projects and maintenance for Long Beach Gas Company in the city of Long Beach.
In 1985, Herman retired from the company and in 1989 he sold the company to TELACU.

He remained on the Board of Directors until his passing. He stressed a simple, no nonsense philosophy do it right the first time, everytime. Herman insisted on Safety, Quality, and Production
