Epoxy repairs to underground substructures

Herman Weissker, Inc. has been involved in epoxy repairs to underground structures since the 1980s.  The customers have called upon us to affect this maintenance and also to rebuild entire walls, floors, and ceilings in these structures.  The structures that have these problems normally start with the concrete spalling and exposing the rebar to the air or by developing a number of cracks that are a prelude to the spalling.  Our crews are confined space trained, carry competent person cards, and are trained in using heat scan equipment, air monitoring equipment, and other equipment required such as air tools and  the epoxy machines.  It has been our customers’ experience that the life of these underground vaults and manholes can be extended by fifteen years or more by employing this process.  We do not require that the power be turned off for our crews to perform the work, however, we want no-test orders in place
